The current ban on the enforcement of eviction orders in Scotland has now been extended to 30 September 2021. Continuing the current ban, which was due to expire on the 31 March, the Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Restrictions and Requirements) (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) (No. 2) Regulations 2021 mean it will remain unlawful for any person serving a charge for removing or executing a decree for removing from heritable property in any level 3 or 4 areas. This means that Sheriff Officers are unable to attend a property for the purpose of serving an eviction notice or executing an eviction. Exceptions are made where the cases are for serious anti-social behaviour, including domestic abuse. |
